3 Day Face Lift Diet and Special Lifting Tips
Is a 3 day face lift possible? No, we're not talking about a cosmetic facelift, but a non-surgical, slight tightening and lifting of the skin.
Well, according to Dr. Perricone you can get younger, firmer skin by changing your diet.
While some minor results are possible as soon as 3 days......
more dramatic results can be obtained by consistently adhering to a healthy non-inflammatory diet.
Dr. Perricone believes reducing inflammatory foods you can improve the look of your skin by firming it and reducing wrinkles and improve your health too.
He calls it the 3 day face lift diet because your skin looks younger in just a few days. The whole diet should be followed for a life time for optimum results for looks and general over all health.
3 Day Face Lift Diet
This anti-aging diet is very simple….avoid processed or simple carbohydrates which convert to simple sugars in the body. Replace them with vegetables, beans, nuts, seeds and some fruit.
But be careful here....certain fruits can be high in sugar (like bananas and oranges) try to stick with low carb fruits and dark fruits like berries, plums, or apples and grapefruit.
What else should your plate contain? Good quality protein like fish (especially salmon), lean chicken and some red meat. Also, drink lots of water and/or green or black tea. Don't wait until you're thirsty to drink a glass of water.
By the time you feel thirsty, you're body is already dehydrated. Try to find a large glass and make an attempt to re-fill it at least 3-4 times a day. You'd be surprised how much nicer your skin will look and you might find that you'll eat less too.
So this simple diet is not really too complicated and it doesn't mean you have to give up carbohydrates......
Just try to replace the simple carbs with healthier alternatives an drink lots of good sugar-free fluids. Once you get the hang of it - you'll find you're really not missing a lot of your favorite foods.
Here is an example: Try replacing your morning "white flour" bagel or toast for whole grain breads.
Make sure you read the label, if the first ingredient includes the word: "whole" wheat and it has at least 3 grams of fiber per slice, then it real whole grain bread.
Unfortunately, many breads products on the market today claim to be whole wheat or multigrain breads, but are just enriched flour with a dash of grains added for color.....Shame on them!
Other examples include - substituting a sweet potato for a white potato, whole grain pasta for regular pasta. Or select a salad instead of fries, seeds/nuts/cheese and apples for a snack, instead of chips and pretzels.
Below is a daily sample of what you would eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner....mind you this is just an example.
Feel free to substitute as long as you follow the two simple rules: No simple carbs and drink lots of quality fluids: Breakfast Whole Grain Cereal w/fruit and flaxseeds.
- 1 serving of your choice of a whole grain breakfast cereal and one tablespoon of flaxseeds sprinkled on top.
- 1-1/2 cup of light or skimmed milk.
- 1 serving of low index fruit - like cantaloupe, plums or berries (optional).
What are Flaxseeds? They are tiny little seeds with hardly any flavor so you can add them to almost any type of food, but they are super for healthy skin and body.
Got dry skin? Flaxseeds are rich on omega-3 fatty acids and alpha linolenic acid (ALA). They're also high in vitamins (especially B vitamins), minerals, and fiber. These tiny seeds pack a powerful punch in terms of health!
You can modify this skin care recipe by switching the cereal for low fat yogurt or a couple of hard boiled eggs. Lunch Turkey Sandwich - 2 slices of whole wheat, whole grain, or stone ground bread.
- 1-2 tablespoon of reduce fat mayonnaise or better yet mustard – any kind. Also instead of mayo try a little olive oil and salt….. very tasty!
- Make sure to choose ow sodium turkey.
- And add any kind veggie and as much as possible. Try mixed salad leaves, greens, tomatoes, roasted peppers, or how about some olives? The point is to fill up on fresh raw veggies and not bread and chips!
Snack - Wasa crispbread, which is very low in the GI index, served with a couple tablespoons of hummus and an apple or plum. You can also have a low fat cheese sticks or all natural peanut butter (without sugar) with the crackers.
Dinner Chicken Kabobs - Cut raw chicken breast into medium sized chunks
- Marinade them for 30 minutes in a mixture of vinegar, lemon juice, small amount of olive oil..And any other seasoning you’d like to add. I like lots of raw garlic. The lemons, olive oil and garlic are loaded with great antioxidants....also important for healthy skin.
- Slice a medium onion and green pepper. Now begin alternating onion and green pepper slices along with grape tomatoes and chicken chunks on a skewer.
- Then grill until chicken is cooked. Serve with toasted whole wheat or stone ground pita bread and hummus or a chickpea salad.
Or baked sweet potato and whole grain wild rice. Again, use this opportunity to add as much vegetables as you can. This will not only benefit your skin, but will also fill you and might help keep the weight down too.
3 Day Face Lift – What Else Can You Do?

In addition to diet, consider face exercises to give you a non-surgical facelift. While facial exercises won't give you a "3 day face lift" it will provide nice benefits and a younger look over time with consistent use. And, it only takes 15 minutes a few times a week.
There are certain isometric facial exercises that are designed to target the 57 muscles of the face and neck (don't forget the neck).
Building up muscles not can help lift the skin, but can help fill out the face. When we're young, our face has this beautiful natural fat that gives it that full youthful look. Plus, the increased circulation can help improve complexion tone and elasticity.
Why do face exercises work? As we age our skin cells become less resilient and lose vitality. In addition, muscles sag, and facial fat is reduced.
This not only contributes to lines and wrinkles -- but causes the face takes on a flat, saggy, droopy appearance........
.......Cheek muscles deflate, eye wrinkles develop, jowl lines droop, and mouth corners turn downward causing that sad, tired look.................
As one plastic surgeon described it, the face, like melting wax, slowly starts drooping downward as we age.
Facial exercises are a great way to tone up your face, by performing a series of contractions and applied resistance to specific muscles in the face -- sort of like body building but for the face and neck.
In addition to increased to muscle size, which provides a nice lift to the face, when muscles are contracted the supply of blood to that area is ten times greater than normal, which brings more oxygen and nutrients to skin. Other beneficial effects of a 3 day face lift include: - Firmer, smoother, more elastic skin
- Increase production of new, healthier skin cells
- Increased collagen and elastin production
There is no doubt that the combination of a good diet along with face exercises is a great proven way to get a safe, non-plastic surgery face lift. Start your 3 day face lift here.....See sample face exercises.
What I like about this particular program is that you do them lying down! This provides more resistance - and for me - increased effects. Plus, who doesn't like an exercise that can be done in bed? :-)
