I had moderate acne when I was in high school and beginning college, so I decided to go to a skin esthetician for help.
We did several different types of treatments and I bought mineral makeup and the PCA cleansing and skin treatment system she recommended, but my skin just got worse. So I tried the "apple fast" diet and then Proactive, but they didn't help.
I finally went to a dermatologist and got a prescription for erythromyacin and a couple of topical antibiotics. My skin cleared up for the first time in years, but I didn't want to be on the antibiotics for a long time (and I was concerned about the possibility of birth defects - I was getting married), so I quit taking the erythromyacin and my acne came back with a vengeance. I tried removing wheat and dairy and sugar from my diet and using soy milk, but that didn't make a difference either.
I tried Murad, I tried using Kangan water, I tried some very expensive, High-quality supplements, but nothing worked until one day I was shopping at a health food grocery store and one of the employees saw me and told me I needed to try AcneZyme, an internal supplement. I wasn't going to buy it, but I decided that since I tried so many other things, what was another $16? My skin started clearing up a couple of weeks after I began taking it.
I suggested it to another friend of mine, and she said it helped her too. My skin isn't perfect now, but it is worlds better than it was. I can go out without wearing makeup and forget that I didn't put it on that morning. I was always so self-conscious about my skin before, so I'm really thankful to have found this product.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Amber. What many people don't realize is - when treating acne - what you put into your body is as important as what you put on your skin.
As a heath advisor for over 25 years - I cannot stress the importance of herbal/holistic supplements for acne relief. Most people will get good results when they approach a dual approach. Good quality cleanser and moisturizer, along with certain herbs to help clean the lymphatic system too.
