Body Makeup Used by Celebrities and Review of Self Tanners

Although it is never written, I believe that many of the celebrities (Halle Berry, Beyonce) with the "perfect skin" use body makeup to disguise stretch marks, hyperpigmentation.
Can you kindly advise or give your opinion. I am breaking into modeling and this would help boost my confidence that none of these women are perfect.
Hello Claire,
Oh, you are so right. It's hard for us "regular" women to feel confident when we see celebrities with "perfect skin!"
Yes, I agree with you - I think many celebrities (even men) use some type of body makeup. I knew someone who used to be very active in the theater and the skin on her chest, shoulders, and legs always looked so smooth and even toned.
When I asked about it she admitted that she started using body makeup during her performance - and well just got used to that look and now uses it all the time.
I am a body concealer junkie. I didn't take care of the skin on my body (like I did on my face) and as a result I have lots of freckles and sun spots on my legs and arms.....so I can honestly say I'm an expert on this topic :-)
Let's see.....I've tried, Smart Cover (dries too quickly and very difficult to work with if you're covering large areas).
I've tried Joan Rivers Right to Bare Legs (not bad, but didn't last as long as I wanted it to).
I've also used those drug store brands like Air Brushed Legs by Sally Hansan. Great color, easy to use, but melted off as soon as I went outside into the warm, humid Florida weather.
I wanted a body concealer that was easy to apply, stayed on while sweating or swimming, and lasts for a day or so....Don't want to keep applying it daily. That is why I like and use Dermablend Leg and Body Cover
This one is perfect!
1. It blends easily so I can cover large areas (like from my ankles to my thighs) without streaks (nothing more embarrassing as those streaks, telling the whole world that you're using a body cover).
2. It dries pretty quickly.
3. Lasts forever
4. Won't sweat off or come off in the pool.
5. The colors are very natural.
Recently I use the suntan color for my legs, wore white shorts and went bike riding in Key West, Florida. While I was soaking wet from sweat - none of the color ran or transferred onto my white shorts.
This is probably why Dermblend is cover of choice for makeup artists.
One other suggestion for you is to try a self tanner -- but this one is very different. It's a foaming self tanner, that you apply in the shower while your still wet.
This also works great if you have brown spots because these spots are very dry and soak up too much of the self tanning product causing the brown spots to show up even more.
BUT, since this product is
applied in the shower, while the skin is wet - this helps creates a more even tan. Plus, the color is gorgeous and it smells wonderful - like chocolate!
The only problem is it's a bit pricey....but right now you can get 20% of the regular price.
