derma roller needle length?

by Melissa
(Kentucky)

I want to remove some fine wrinkling around my eyes, and am planning to order a derma roller. On the website there are different needle lengths, and also a 3 line roller.

I also have some abdominal stretch marks that I would like to treat with the roller as well.

Do you use the 3 line roller for your face or just the regular roller. If you use the regular size...is it hard to use near your eyes? Also, what needle length do you suggest for the face...particularly around the eyes, and also what needle length for abdominal stretch marks?

Thanks in advance:)

Hi Melissa,

Thanks for your question. I use the regular derma roller. I started with 1.mm size and used that for a year. Recently, I received my 1.5mm size derma roller - because I was curious to see what results I would get.

The 1.5mm is best for deep scars and deep wrinkles. If you have light scars, wrinkles or stretch marks the 1.mm is fine.

Scientia Derma Roller offers a 3 line roller because it's easier to maneuver on the face (like the eye area) because it's more narrow.

But that is a personal preference. I don't have a problem using the regular width one around the eye area, plus I didn't want to spend the money on two different rollers.

However, if you have a very narrow or small face, you might find the 3 line roller better suited.

The 1.5mm is good for stretch marks too. So if you plan on using it for crows feet and stretch marks, I would suggest you try the regular width 1.5mm roller.

Good luck, please let me know how you like the derma roller.

Derma Roller for Lip Wrinkles
by: Anonymous

Hi,

I bought the derma roller from your site as you suggested about 6 months ago. But, I bought the 1.5 mm size, which you didn't talk about before. The people at Scientia told me that is the best for deep wrinkles.

Well, I have to tell, I'm a smoker and have had deep lines above my lips for years and I hated them!!!! I had restylane injections once but had to stop, too expensive. Well, my sister and my husband both noticed that the lines around my lips are much smaller and lighter (she found on old picture of me from last christmas.

It really works. Thanks so much for your recommendation. One question, I want to start using the derma roller around my eyes. Is that ok? Is the 1.5mm too big for the delicate skin around the eyes.

Thanks,
Millie

Hi Millie,

I'm so glad you got good results with the derma roller. Yes, it is great for eye wrinkles. That is what I purchased it for about a year ago, and then did research on it to find out it's great for other wrinkles, scars, and stretch marks.

Please send me a picture when you can. I'd love to see your before and after pictures.

Did you see the Rachael Ray segment about the derma roller? She has plastic surgeon discuss how and why it works. Check it here at: Rachael Ray and the derma roller

Thanks,
Linda, Admin
