It’s been a little over 12 months since I first starting using my roller and I want to share my experience with everyone.

In my opinion, the Scientia Derma Roller is the best anti-aging product on the market! It can do things that no cream can ever do by itself. I feel that I finally have some control over the aging process of my skin.

So I ordered my roller, the 1.0mm size, last August. The first time I tried I used it on my main area of concern ...my eyes. I started getting lines and fine crow’s feet in my late twenties.

It didn’t hurt – just tickled a bit, with a slight prickling sensation. Not too uncomfortable. Then a few days later I gradually started using it on my upper cheeks and lower cheeks (especially where large pores tend to be) and also on my neck area where I started to notice a few lines creeping in.

Well, the neck area was a bit uncomfortable, so I had to use a much lighter pressure when rolling it around that area. All in all, it wasn’t a bad experience. And afterward, I felt a warm sensation and my face was slightly red – sort of like a wind burn. Actually, I looked like I spent a day at the beach.

It's really fast to use and takes about 3-4 minutes, 3 times a week.. Just run the roller over your face 4 times in each direction. Up and down, and side to side. Do all the areas that concern you - like where you have large pores, wrinkles, scars, uneven skin tone, or stretch marks. Then apply a good moisturizer or anti-aging cream. The roller really helps increase the absorption of your favorite cream and makes it work better.

The first improvement I noticed was smaller tighter pores on my lower cheeks. Oh, and that area between my eyebrows – where I thought might need botox -- started to flatten out a bit and the skin seemed a little thicker. About 6 months later the deep line/crease in the corner of my right eye (crow’s feet area) became much lighter.

Last October, I had a small accident which left a long scar on my cheek. I applied copper peptides to that area every day to speed up the skin healing process and made sure to the roller a few extra times in that area.

Five months later the scar – it’s almost gone and that makes me very happy! I was very self conscious of that scar.

My confidence about myself has increased and I’m not worried about trying to cover up that scar anymore. I have absolutely no doubt that my skin will continue to improve as I get older....and I love that thought. No laser surgery, no plastic surgery, no chemical peels.

I highly recommend the Scientia Derma Roller for any skin problem from wrinkles, large pores, scars (of any kind), and stretch marks. Also, they make a smaller roller for hair loss.

Con - There are hundreds of companies selling skin rollers on the internet making it difficult to find a good quality roller. Some are made from poor quality steel or have the wrong sized or uneven needles which could damage the skin.

In addition, there are also some professional grade rollers for sale that should only be used by a skin care professional. For home use, I only use and recommend the Scientia Derma Roller
