Dry Skin Rash

There is nothing more painful than a dry skin rash! Some people experience it as bumpy dry skin, some have dry cracked skin on the hands, and others suffer from dry patchy skin all over their face. Sometimes a rash is not even obvious, but the person may suffer from relentless itching and flaking, or scaly skin. Regardless of your rash symptoms, there are dry skin treatments that can help.

This type of dry, itchy skin rash is often referred to as Xerosis by physicians and dermatologists. These types of rashes can develop from a variety of causes. The most common dry skin causes are a lack of natural oils and moisture on the skin’s barrier.

Other factors for dry flaky skin include habits such as over washing, poor diet, hormone imbalance (menopause), and genetic factors such as getting older. The older we get oils we produce and this contributes to dry skin rash and other dry skin conditions. Drug use, prescription medications, and diseases such as thyroid disorders or diabetes can also cause dry flaky skin and dry skin patches.

Help For Dry Skin Rash

Dry skin conditions need to be taken care of as soon as possible to avoid more skin damage and to prevent the condition from getting worse. If you suffer from excessively dry skin or it has progressed to the point where there are small cracks that bleed and weep, you could develop an infection due to the open skin areas.

Of course the most logical treatment for dry skin includes establishing a protective moisture barrier and keeping the affected area moist/hydrated at all times – which can be difficult especially if the area involved include the hands and face.

A great solution for this is botanical homeopathic moisturizer offers a unique trans derma deliver system so it can penetrate and hydrate more deeply that typical moisturizers.

It also uses plant essences and unrefined botanical extracts so extremely gentle and won't irritate any type of skin.

Naturopathic doctors, and dermatologists have recommend this organic moisturizer for over 20 years!! Click here to read more about this Botanical Daily Moisturizer

Other Remedies For Dry Skin

Consider a bi-weekly oil massage. A great cure dry skin is to massage oils – like Emu Oil - into the skin. Emu oil has been around for thousands of year and has been used by the Aborigines. They had to brave the harsh sun of Australia and knew that not only can emu oil moisturize the skin; it has been known to heal and protect it too.

You should apply the Emu Oil each time you wash your skin and every night before you go to bed. It’s best to apply the oil while the skin is still damp.

Then apply the Botanical Organic Moisturizer to form a protective barrier and keep the water and emu oil from evaporating off the skin. This makes an effective therapy for severe dry skin.
