Healthy Sauna Skin Tips

Does A Hot Suana Cause Skin Wrinkles?

A healthy sauna benefits more than just your sore muscles. Some women worry that the dry heat of a sauna will cause dry skin...but the opposite is true.

Saunas nourish your skin from the inside. The high sauna temperature floods the skin cells and enhances blood flow. All those nasty pore clogging oils and waxes are softened and are removed through sweat.

In addition to deep cleaning your pores, a sauna helps eliminate toxins that accumulate on our skin as a result from chemical-laden make-up, water, soap, and conditioners.

Best of all, the way your skin looks after a sauna is incredible – the high heat increases blood circulation which promotes healthy skin texture and tone -- plus your pores will practically disappear!

Healthy Sauna and Acne

Many people have found that saunas help with acne problems, since it helps to unclog pores. However, some people have cautioned that you must wash your face, with a gentle cleanser, immediately after leaving the sauna to get rid of the sweaty debris before your skin cools down.

Healthy Sauna - Other Benefits

While you’re getting gorgeous skin in the sauna, just know there are many other benefits including:

  • pain management
  • stress relief
  • weight loss
  • cardiovascular health

What Kind Of Saunas Best?

It really doesn’t matter – portable saunas are just as good as the big ones you'll find at spas. Whether you are using a Swedish sauna, infrared sauna, or steam saunas; they all heat the body and benefit the skin in the same way.

Can’t Find a Sauna Near You?

If you’re not a member of a gym or can’t find a facility with a sauna near you, you might consider investing in one of those low price sauna kits – they are smaller than what you seen in gyms – like a personal sauna.

I’ve seen plenty of saunas online and even though I have access to one at my gym, I’m considering getting one of those portable saunas – that’s how much I love what it does to my skin and how it makes me feel.

How To Take A Sauna

Start with low temperatures and short heating sessions. The typical sauna temperature ranges between 150 and 190 degrees Fahrenheit. However, since the humidity is low, you’ll be fairly comfortable.

Here is a tip: If you sit on the lower bench, the heat won’t be as intense. Once you become acclimated, you can try a higher bench – You’ll really feel the heat there!

After your finished, allow the body to cool down for a few minutes before taking a shower -- and -- try to use warm, not cold water.

In addition, this would be a great time to apply either Copper Peptides or Emu Oil or both.

When you’re all finished -- take a look and see how great your skin looks, not just on your face, but all over your body – enjoy.

Healthy Sauna - Some Warnings

Never take one if you have been drinking alcohol or have taken any medication that impair sweating. If you have any health or heart conditions, please always check with your doctor first.

Don’t take a sauna on a full stomach -- try not to eat at least 2 hours before heating your body. And don’t stay in one longer than 20 minutes.

Also, even when you become acclimated to the heat, you should not raise your body temperature above about 105 degrees Fahrenheit.
