Hi!! im 24 yrs old female
i have got rashes under my armpit which is very itchy and getting darker by the day....

I have got fair skin but the most annoying part is skin under my arm is very dark and black!!! I'm really worried about it...please give me suggestion regarding my problem....

Hi Trishna,

There could be many reasons a rash under your arm pit. First you may want to stop shaving and using your current under arm deodorant. The deodorant could be causing an allergic reaction and shaving that area could be aggravating it even further.

If that doesn't help, you may wish to switch to another type of deodorant because it could be the cause of your rash.

As far as using anti-itch cream - well obviously, rubbing a cream in the under arm area is not possible and very uncomfortable.

Also, try taking a bath with cool water and then add a cup of oatmeal to the water. Soak in this water for 20 minutes or so.

If nothing else works or your rash keeps coming back, consider trying a homeopathic spray that you spray under the tongue to help your body stop over reacting to common chemicals found in skin care products. Some people have found that this spray helps to strengthen their immune system to protect against these chemicals.
