How to Prevent Wrinkles
I'm only 35 years old, but I want to know how to prevent wrinkles
Thanks for your email regarding preventing wrinkles. Wrinkles usually start to form when the collagen networks begin to breakdown. The skin starts to thin out and eventually crinkles and folds. The skin around the eyes start first because it's already thin to begin with.
While using a good anti-aging cream can help - physical manipulation can't be beat!! My two favorites are the
renew intensive skin therapy facial and also
face exercises.
Both of these techniques physically stimulate new collagen production. The facial also helps to eliminate old, damaged skin cells while bringing newer cells to the surface.
Face exercises massage and thicken the skin, and stimulate circulation in the face - this helps to bring nutrient rich oxygen to the skin, and increase muscle mass - which lifts and fills out the skin.
This last part if very important as we age - because we naturally begin to lose facial fat. This is what causes droopy jowls and cheeks.
You see looking old is not just about wrinkles. As we age, our facial muscles (with the attached skin) starts to droop -- like a melting candle -- slowly pulling the facial tissue downward. Giving us a tired worn out look.
Click on the both the links above for more explaining of the process in detail.
Hope this helped,
Linda
