From what u said, i do not think it hiv cos the rash should be accompanied by other symptoms... Good luck.

Hi,

I had done two test after this post one was EIA and other was Western Blot both come out Negative...

Still i had same RASH symptoms with cough and cold for 4-5 days.

I am still confused between symptoms & Reports... i am afraid the it could be false Negative after 15 Months & 8 Months after exposure. Please help if someone want to share there knowledge with me about HIV Rashes.

Thanks for your email. That's actually a good question. Pityrosporum folliculitis is a form of rash caused by an overgrowth of yeast.

There are a number of reasons for an overgrowth of yeast ranging from decreased resistance in immunity (which is sometimes the case in HIV patients) to stress, diseases like diabetes, contraceptives, antibiotics, or steroid medications like prednisone, excessive oily skin, and even wearing improper (to tight non breathable) clothing during hot humid weather.

You can try using a topical anti-dandruff shampoo like Nizoral or Selsun shampoo. Apply it to the affected area and let it set for 10-15 min. then rinse off.

Or your doctor can prescribe oral treatmnets like Sporonox - however, this medication is very hard on the liver, so you should stop consuming any alcohol if you do drink.
