Pimple Rash
There is nothing more embarrassing than when a pimple rash shows up. Your face becomes flushed and hot, and the pimples seem to come from nowhere.
Acne rashes like this tend to come when you are stressed, on your period, pregnant or if you are prone to acne due to genetics. They are especially difficult to deal with as we age - because many pimple remedy products are way too harsh and can wrinkles and lines to form.
How To Avoid Pimple Like Rash
The first step it to reduce the urge to pick at your skin. Please don’t pick. It makes matters worse.
The second key is cleanliness. Keep pores clean and gently removing excess oil, makeup, dirt by washing your face with a mild pH cleanser at least twice daily especially during hot summer months. You want to also make sure that your make up is non-comedogenic, nonacnegenic, and wont' strip your natural oils. This just causes excess irritation and more breakouts.
These are watch words to look for on the makeup packaging. Also try to use powder make up – which is usually better than cream or liquid for those who are prone to a pimple like rash.
Gentle Exfoliation Is Key
Generally, exfoliating the skin can be helpful when dealing with pimples, but if it's turned into a rash, becareful.
While there is nothing wrong with exfoliation - in fact, I love a good exfoliator because it helps polishthe complexion, gives your face a nice health glow, and can help reduce breakouts by keep dead cells from clogging up the pores.
However, if your skin is inflamed and feeling raw, you want to be even gentler than ever, commercial exfoliating scrubs can be too harsh for this type of complexion. Start with something gentle and try it lightly in a small area first. Then wait about 24 hours to see how your complexion reacts. Most people like what they see and become addicted.
A good exfoliator is a gentle one micro-peel that removes the top dead skin layer and speeds healing. Plus, it polishes the skin - so it looks healthier too.
In addition to a micro-peel, you can create some great yet gentle exfoliates yourself, here is how: - The aspirin scrub: melt two or three aspirins in your hand, with some water. They will form a bit of a paste, in your hand. Rub it gently over your face. The salicylic acid in the aspirin, it will help to reduce the redness.
- The old fashioned oatmeal mask. Mix three teaspoons of raw oats with mix with a quarter teaspoon of cider vinegar and enough honey to form a paste. Apply this to a clean face, in a circular motion and leave it on for fifteen minutes, rinse well with cool water.
- Try is steaming your face. Leaning over a steaming bowl of water, and allow the steam to help open up the pores so that the exfoliating treatments work a bit better.
Also, don’t forget to moisturize to keep skin healthy, just make sure it’s formulated for inflamed, breakout prone skin for best results.
If you want to start a skin care routine that simple and easy and addresses your skin type – try a three step skin care system that contains a pH balanced wash, micro-peel serum, and a protective moisturizer. Stick with this routine for a few weeks and see how much clearer you skin will look
Also, once a week try a super healing botanical clay mask to reduce redness, inflammation, and absorb impurities. This mask can also be used as an overnight spot treatment too. It also works great just to tighten up your pores!
