Vitamins For Dry Skin

Vitamins for dry skin are an important part of any good skin care regime. Regardless of whether you’re suffering from dry itchy skin, dry patchy skin, or a severe dry skin rash there are certain vitamins for dry skin that are affective .......along with using quality dry skin moisturizers.

Of all the vitamins that can provide help for dry skin, one of the most important and overlooked is omega 3 fatty acids or commonly known as fish oil. Fish oil is one the best home remedies for dry skin and can help keep your skin healthy and youthful by normalizing lipids (skin oils) and cells -- which is essential in keeping the skin moist and is very effective in preventing dry skin patches.

Fish oils also help reduce inflammation and irritation – so this combination of regulated oils and reduce inflammation makes this an excellent vitamin for not only dry skin itchy skin, but also for those who suffer from eczema, psoriasis, and Acne.

Many people don’t know that there is a strong connection between the main components of fish oil (EPA and DHA) -- and their role in creating "good" prostaglandins which are absolutely necessary for younger, healthier, hydrated skin.

Prostaglandins are special hormones that regulate functions within your skin cells. They also keep a hormone called (androgen) in check so that you don’t produce excess sebum (oil) in the hair follicle which is a main cause of acne, oily skin, clogged pores, blackheads, and whiteheads starts. They are also responsible for inflammatory and anti-inflammatory reactions in the body.

For younger skin you need to produce the "good" prostaglandins and the best way accomplished this is by consuming enough omega 3 essential fatty acids (fish oil) -- which are the precursors to the "good" prostaglandins -- however most of us never get enough.

Vitamins For Dry Skin – How To Heal Dry Skin

You can get most of your fish oil from cold water, oily fish like salmon and tuna. But the problem is many people don’t like fish and eating fish more than 3 times a week is not recommend due to polluted waters and toxins in the fish such as mercury and others. As a health advisor I have always recommend that people use a Molecularly Distilled (pure source) of fish oil capsules – like Super Omega-3 EPA/DHA with Sesame Lignans & Olive Fruit Extract..

This is only fish oil source that I take and trust for it's purity. This fish oil supplement has been purified to removal all contaminants like mecury, lead, arsenic, and other toxic metals. This fish oil meets or exceeds International Fish Oil Standards (IFOS) standards for PCBs, dioxins, and other contaminants, and has received its highest 5-star rating.

The problem with discounted fish oil supplements is that many contain traces of mercury or the oil is old and has become rancid. Both of these factors are very bad for your skin and your health.

Good food sources of vitamin A are: Liver, milk, egg-yolk, carrots, dark green leafy vegetables and yellow fruits are high in vitamin A or beta-carotene.
