Hydrating Anti Wrinkle Skin Cream

Shouldn't an anti wrinkle skin cream hydrate too? Wouldn't that make sense - since a dry complexion looks more wrinkled?

Well, that's not always the case, so be careful when purchasing anti-aging products. Keep your receipt just in case it doesn't agree with you and make sure it has a money back guarantee. Let me tell you what happened to me...............

During my research I tried a lot of different anti wrinkle skin cream to take care of all my needs - I started getting wrinkles and crow's feet in my early twenty's. So, I tried LOTS of products! The one I was most excited about were those new Botox alternative ones - I think were touted as a Gaba Cream Anti Wrinkle Treatment?

It was called something like.... The Gaba ((gamma amino butyric acid) ingredient was supposed to slow down, have an anti-wrinkle effect on the nerve and muscle movements which would eventually help reduce wrinkles. But some really irritated me which is very unusual for me.

In fact, I used one for a few weeks and - now understand I have a pretty tough complexion and never suffer from sensitivity - but this one irritated the area around my eyes so bad, that I had to see a dermatologist. He prescribed cortisol cream for to reduce the inflammation that developed around my eyes.

Plus, I looked pretty bad for a few weeks, as my eye area was red, dry, and flaky. So I never could finish the product to see if it even worked!

So needless to say finding an effective anti-wrinkle cream that also hydrates is difficult. Most products I've seen and tried seem to come in two formulations:

  • Either they help relieve dryness
  • Or help reduce the appearance of wrinkles

I’ve been searching for One anti-aging Cream that does it all…..deeply hydrates, reduces the appearance of wrinkles, repairs current wrinkles and fine lines, and helps to increase collagen stimulation to prevent future wrinkles. A little extra tightening/firming would be nice too.

Lucky, I did come across some interesting ingredients – like Palmitoyl Pentapepide-3 that helps to not only boost collagen, but increases the ability hold moisture within the dermis. And increasing the ability of older complexion to retain moisture is key for younger, healthier looking complexion!

My dermatologist even confirmed this when I asked about the possibility of getting Botox for the little lines (crow's feet) under and around my eyes...that I've had since my twenty's.

She told me I need a better, richer, more hydrating moisturizer, not Botox. Image that! She's a great doctor and knew I couldn't afford it too.

Anyway - back to retaining moisture, you see as we age we begin to naturally lose collagen. And what little collagen we have left begins to harden– so as a result we lose the ability to hold moisture. This not only makes it dry, but thin, saggy, or crinkly. No matter how often you apply a hydrating cream, it seems to disappear quickly and our complexion looks dry in a few hours.

Take a look at a baby’s skin….so how “plump”it looks? That’s because a younger complexion has lots of collagen and the ability to hold so more moisture – giving it a soft full, firm look.

Now, while we’ll never get back that baby smoothness, we can “heal” the dermis by stimulating DNA to increase collagen production AND add moisture back ………..all at the same time.

A fairly long (6 month) clinical study showed that women saw significant changes in not just wrinkle reduction, but in hydration, plumpness, and firmness too.

That’s because the more the new collagen was being produced, the easier it was to hold moisture…..It was a win-win situation because not only were volunteers experiencing less issues with dry, patchy complexion – they also saw less fine lines and wrinkles too.

It’s nice to not have an entire draw or bathroom cabinet dedicated to tons of creams too. One anti wrinkle cream that hydrates and firms is all you need.
