accutane treatment

Hi,

I have been on Accutane treatment for about one week now. Am getting dry skin, headache and also elbow problem.

But still I can manage along. All my pimples are getting out. And I really think it is working. Now my body is getting used to Accutane.

I will be on treatment for six months. I do really pray that all goes well and that my skin clears up.

Thanks for your email regarding Accutane side effects. From what I understand, accutane was taken off the market in 2009 after it was suspected that it cause some serious side-effects including birth defects.

However, there a quite a few generic equivalents of the isotretinoin drug available today. I assume that's what you are probably taking.

Well, glad to hear that your side-effects are not too bad.

Surprisingly, some people fair pretty well with the generic drug. Those folks usually suffer mild side-effects for a short time, which then subsides and all returns to normal.
