broken blood vessels

I just did this exercise and the skin around my mouth bunched as I tried to push up from the jaw line. I pushed up over the bunched skin and it broke the blood vessels, so I know have all these tiny red pin pricks in a cluster below my mouth. How is it possible to avoid this? I wasn't pushing hard, the skin pushed against itself as I put my fingers over it.
And I am only 33 and don't have horribly loose skin or anything.

It sounds like you may be pushing too hard. Think of it like you're massaging the skin over taut muscles. You want to apply the same pressure you would if you were just massaging the skin. Gentle, but firm....

Also, if you blood vessles are breaking that easily, you need to strengthen them.

If you have weak vessels and capillaries they burst easily which means you also probably bruise a lot too.
