Hi!! im 24 yrs old female
i have got rashes under my armpit which is very itchy and getting darker by the day....
I have got fair skin but the most annoying part is skin under my arm is very dark and black!!! I'm really worried about it...please give me suggestion regarding my problem....
Hi Trishna,
There could be many reasons a rash under your arm pit. First you may want to stop shaving and using your current under arm deodorant. The deodorant could be causing an allergic reaction and shaving that area could be aggravating it even further.
If that doesn't help, you may wish to switch to another type of deodorant because it could be the cause of your rash.
As far as using anti-itch cream - well obviously, rubbing a cream in the under arm area is not possible and very uncomfortable.
Also, try taking a bath with cool water and then add a cup of oatmeal to the water. Soak in this water for 20 minutes or so.
If nothing else works or your rash keeps coming back, consider trying a homeopathic spray that you spray under the tongue to help your body stop over reacting to common chemicals found in skin care products. Some people have found that this spray helps to strengthen their immune system to protect against these chemicals.

I hope this helps.

Hi,
I used to get really acute dermatitis on and in between my fingers and on the palm of my hands.
I didn't know what to do and it was getting worse. Then I found I out I was allergic to my all of my house hold cleansers....especially the oven cleaner. I started wearing rubber gloves whenever I clean the house and guess what the rash is gone.
Just wanted to share that with anyone else who may be allergic to their soaps and cleansers.
Thanks,
Joan

Thanks for sharing that tip with us Joan. That is an important point Joan made. We may develop allergies to certain household cleansers that we've been using for years and not even know it.
Great observation!
Does anyone else have any great ideas or tips when dealing with skin rashes? Please share it. Feel free to send in pictures too.
